Capturing the Magic of Light and Atmosphere

Welcome to my studio!

I'm glad you stopped by. I'm a Plein Air Painter-- love to paint on location it never gets dull.

You are out in various weather conditions and curious people come by and want to see what you're doing; I love it.

This has been a life long dream and now I'm here; being out in the fresh air by the ocean listening to the crashing waves

and painting them to the best of my ability.

I've been interested in art since a small child. When I was 11 my mother & father enrolled in impressionistic

oil painting classes and they enrolled me in the children's classes. Of course, I wanted to learn to paint more realistic.

(I should have worked on the Impressionism when I had the chance) because,  now thats what I want to do.

I guess we always come full circle. I ended up majoring in Fine Art.

When I turned 50 after many years of working in the Corporate world; I was finally able to go back to school to refresh.

I fell in love with watercolor. But after 10 years, of taking many workshops, and doing many shows. I wanted to paint a looser style.

I took up painting with Palette Knife in Oil: 17 years later my art is still evolving. I'm addicted to Plein Air and trying to

capture the Ocean so I can bring it home with me. I try to capture the feeling and energy of the place I'm painting with the light,

shadow and colors I see.

I'm a member of " The American Society of Marine Artists."
